Lois held that an adman needed to be three weeks ahead of his time - the time it took to get an ad to run. The time Krone took to produce an ad was longer than the entire agency gestation which Ogilvy berated: ‘117 days, faster than goats but slower than hyenas.'
Ogilvy, not knowing Lois's theory, ascribed 22 days to rats.
